Has a radiating rib pattern which sometimes grows over the rim which leads to the irregular-shaped shell. Its Chinese name is named after these “ribbed” pattern resembles the “webbed-feet” of the waterfowl.

Despite its resemblance to the “ribbed” false limpet, it has a thicker and broader ribs as well as a more symmetric shell.
