Mudflat

It is a flatland which is formed by the sediments deposited by the tides and rivers. It is mainly covered with mud but usually in close association to estuary and mangroves. Mudflat is rich in nutrient and supports a wide range of wildlife ranging from mollusks, crustaceans (e.g. crabs and shrimps) to shorebirds.
