Rocky Shore

This shore is made up of rocky substrate and faced the tide action twice a day. In addition to the challenges posed by the tide (such as wave action, fluctuation in salinity and humidity), the risks of overheating and desiccation are higher in rocky shore due to high temperature at low tide under sunlight. Luckily, crevices formed between large rocks and rock pools formed from the rock depression provide refuges for the intertidal dwellers.
