Does not naturally have a shell so it needs to find empty snail shells to protect itself.
寄居蟹沒有如螃蟹和龍蝦般堅硬的甲殼，因此必須尋找空螺殼保護自己，因而得名
When its old shell no longer fits, it will find and compete for a larger emptied shell. Sometimes a group of hermit crabs will gather to form a vacancy chain where the old shell is passed on to the next individual.
