The colloquial Chinese name is “Watermelon Crab” 西瓜蟹 because of its splendid stripes and body colour.
因其華麗的條紋和體色而有「西瓜 蟹」之俗稱
Its small pincer is mainly used for feeding. Sand pellets will be left behind after the edible part is sieved through.
小鉗子主要用於進食，而且牠們進食時可以篩走沙粒
